If it snows where you live, you know that it can cause costly damage to your home. The constant weight of heavy snow can put undue stress on your home and weaken your roof. If ice builds up in your gutters, ice dams can form, preventing the melting snow from draining properly. This winter, avoid the possibility of stagnant moisture getting trapped underneath shingles and inside gutters, causing costly damage and exhaustive repairs. NeverFreeze roof and gutter cable provides a radiant heat solution that safely and effectively melt snow and keep your gutters functioning properly. NeverFreeze offers solutions for pipe tracing, heating of shingles and metal roofs, and facilitating gutter and downspout flow.
Self-regulating heating elements will reduce their power output and energy consumption to the lowest possible point as the ambient conditions get warmer. Systems using self-regulating heating elements may not completely turn off without the use of an outside control.

How To Install NeverFreeze Roof & Gutter Cable

This overview does not substitute for a full reading of the Installation Manual.
The below steps will take you from beginning to end simply, but please refer to the full Installation Manual or call us to go over a more detailed installation plan.
NeverFreeze Roof and Gutter Cables are an easy way to clear your gutters from snow and ice build up and eliminate icicles keeping people and shingles safe!.
Before beginning your installation:
- Start with a clear and reasonably clean roof and gutter surface.
- Ensure that you have a safe and sturdy ladder and spotter if necessary.
- Plan for the intended location of your controller(s) and select appropriate locations for your heating cable(s) accordingly.
1Make sure you have the right amount of material.

- Contact support if you have any questions prior to your installation.
2Connect your GFCI plug-in to the heating cable unless you have purchased a factory-connected unit

3Pull the cable through the downspout.

- Heating the downspouts will create a full and natural path for melted snow and ice to travel.
- If more downspouts occur around the home the cable can be looped in downspouts but cannot be T-spliced.
4Run a heating cable inside of the gutter.

- Similar to the heating cable in the downspout, the cable in the gutter creates a full path for the melted snow and ice to flow off the roof properly.
5Attach flat metal hanger brackets to cable with zip ties and lay inside gutter.

- Curve the flat metal hanger bracket so that half of it bends into the downspout and half lays in the gutter.
6Attach clips to roof under shingles.

7If running in zigzag pattern on roof, plan your layout. See picture below for complete layout.
